Terms of service
Effective 15 September 2026. Short, because there is not much to say.
1. What this covers
These terms apply when you subscribe to the hosted Webamend service (“the service”) from Amit Malul Lev, a sole proprietor in Israel(“we”, “us”). The Webamend software itself is separately licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later, and nothing here limits what that licence lets you do with the source code.
2. What the service is
For each website you connect, we run an editor that lets the people you name request changes to that website, an AI agent that makes the change in a copy of the files, and the machinery that turns the result into a pull request in your GitHub repository and a preview on your Netlify site. You publish by merging. We set each website up by hand after you give us its details.
3. Your account and your clients
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. You are responsible for the websites you connect: you must own them or have permission to have them edited, and for the people you allow to request changes. Access to the editor is by email address and one-time code; keep your list of allowed addresses current.
4. Payment
Plans are priced per website, monthly or yearly, as shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe. Payment is taken by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, in advance, and renews automatically until you cancel. Prices for existing subscriptions do not change without 30 days’ notice by email. Sales tax is added where Dodo Payments is required to collect it. Model usage is not included in the plan: you supply an OpenRouter key, and OpenRouter bills the tokens each change uses to that account under its own terms.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and nothing is charged after that. Cancelling stops the service editing your websites and removes nothing from your repositories.
If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, we refund that payment in full; write to hello@webamend.com. Later payments are not refunded, except as described in section 6. If the first website you connect is not live within one business day of your giving us its details, and the delay is ours, your first month is free.
6. What we promise, and what we do not
We will run the service with reasonable care and keep it available, and we will tell you promptly if something goes wrong on our side. If the service is unavailable for more than 24 hours in a month for reasons within our control, we will credit you a pro-rated amount on request.
The changes are made by an AI model, and a model can produce a wrong or unwanted change. Nothing is published without a person pressing Publish, and every published change is a pull request you can revert, but you are responsible for reviewing changes before or after publishing as you see fit. We do not promise that any particular change will be correct.
The service depends on GitHub, Netlify and the model providers. If one of them is down, changed, or stops serving us, the service may stop working until we adapt to it, and we are not liable for their outages.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to edit websites you have no right to edit, to publish unlawful content, to attack or probe our systems or anyone else’s, or to try to extract credentials or reach other customers’ installations. We may suspend an account that does, and will tell you why.
8. Your content and ours
Your websites, your repositories and every change made to them are yours. We claim no rights in them. The Webamend software is ours and open source under the AGPL; the name and mark are ours. You may say publicly that your sites run on Webamend.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you under these terms in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost revenue. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Ending the service
If we decide to stop offering the hosted service, we will give at least 60 days’ notice by email and refund any prepaid period beyond the end date. Because the software is open source and your changes live in your repositories, you can continue running Webamend yourself.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change reduces your rights, we will email subscribers 30 days before it takes effect, and you may cancel before then for a pro-rated refund of any prepaid period. The date at the top is the date of the current version.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Israel. Any dispute goes to the competent courts of Israel. Before that, write to us; most things are a conversation.
